Terms and conditions

• Royal Decree 6/2003 issuing the Natural Reserves and Protection of Wild Life Law
• Royal Decree No 114/2001 issuing the Law on conservation of the environment and prevention of pollution and its implementing regulations
• Ministerial Decision No 110/2007 issuing implementing regulations of nature reserves and wildlife protection law
• Ministerial Decision No 101/2002 related to prohibiting hunting, catching, or shooting animals wherever they are in the Sultanate Oman.
Other terms
• The ministry should be notified in case any transaction is made for such Omani wild animal.
• The new born or dead animals should be registered with the Ministry.
• Procuring animals from wild life in the local environment and domesticating them is prohibited.
• Releasing domesticated animals in wild life is strictly prohibited.
• Ministry employees should have access to places where these animals are kept.

    1- The application should be made through the Ministry’s website and supportive documents should be enclosed.
    2- Application examination and assessment
    3- Field visit
    4- Field visit report assessment
    5- Receive the permit
